As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a controlled environment. You will communicate professionally with staff and visitors, respond to security-related concerns, and document activities. A valid driver's license is required. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Wed05:45 PM - 06:00 AM

Sun05:45 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.

Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.

Monitor access and movement through designated areas, verify credentials as assigned, and report access-control concerns or policy violations.

Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies; complete accurate activity and incident reports.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
