Care Coordinator

The Care Coordinator supports patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, payers, and pharmacies through inbound and outbound calls. The role focuses on helping patients navigate their healthcare journey, including insurance benefits, eligibility, prior authorizations, reimbursement, medication access, and appointment coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Assist patients and providers with benefits, eligibility, insurance coverage, and reimbursement.

Support prior authorizations, appeals, program enrollment, and affordability programs.

Handle inbound and outbound calls while providing excellent customer service.

Explain commercial and government insurance benefits, including Medicare and Medicaid.

Maintain accurate patient and provider information in CRM systems.

Follow HIPAA, confidentiality, SOP, and program requirements.

Resolve or escalate complex patient and insurance-related concerns.

Manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

Associate/Bachelor's Degree + 2 years of relevant healthcare/insurance experience, OR

High School Diploma + 5 years of relevant healthcare/insurance experience.

Experience in healthcare, HUB/Patient Services, insurance verification, reimbursement, or call center support.

Knowledge of prior authorizations, appeals, medical/pharmacy insurance, and benefit coordination.

Strong customer service, communication, multitasking, and computer skills.

Comfortable navigating CRM systems and multiple applications simultaneously.

Reliable internet connection for required systems.

Ideal Experience

Candidates with experience in HUB services, patient support, benefits verification, insurance, prior authorization, claims, or healthcare reimbursement are highly preferred.

Experience Level: Intermediate

This is a Contract position based out of Morrisville, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
