Job Description

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support the planning, integration, and execution of civil infrastructure projects that enable mission-critical communications systems across military and government environments. This role sits at the intersection of civil engineering, construction, site development, and communications infrastructure, supporting the deployment of facilities, antenna sites, towers, shelters, utilities, equipment pads, and related systems. The ideal candidate has experience managing technical requirements, coordinating multidisciplinary engineering efforts, and supporting construction activities within highly regulated environments.

The Systems Engineer will work closely with civil, structural, electrical, and communications engineering teams to develop project plans, manage requirements and risks, coordinate subcontractors, review technical documentation, and support construction execution from design through deployment. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), reviewing submittals and RFIs, supporting configuration management activities, and serving as a technical liaison between engineering teams, field personnel, and customers. This role requires the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications while supporting projects that directly impact operational communications capabilities.

Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related STEM discipline and experience supporting site development, construction administration, facilities, utilities, or communications infrastructure projects. Experience with Department of Defense facilities, military construction programs, RF communications infrastructure, or regulated construction environments is highly desired. Familiarity with tools such as MS Project, Visio, DOORS, CAD, or GIS platforms is preferred. An active DoD Secret security clearance is required, and candidates with PE, EIT, or field construction experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

This role is offering $65-75/hr.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

4+ years of relevant engineering experience

MILCON experience

PE or EIT certification

Active Secret Clearance

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work on a large team
