Job Title: Industrial Powder Coat Painter Job Description
This role focuses on performing high-quality powder coating in a paint booth on parts moving along an overhead conveyor. You interpret blueprints and specifications to correctly mask and hang parts, apply powder using spray equipment, and follow proper wash and cure steps to ensure a durable, consistent finish in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Perform powder coating operations in a paint booth on parts transported by an overhead conveyor system.
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine proper masking, hanging, and orientation of parts prior to painting.
Set up and operate spray guns and related industrial painting equipment for powder coating applications.
Apply powder coating evenly and consistently to meet quality and production standards.
Troubleshoot coating issues and adjust equipment or process parameters to ensure high-quality finishes.
Follow proper wash, preparation, and cure steps for the powder coat process to achieve correct adhesion and durability.
Inspect parts before and after coating to verify correct masking, coverage, and finish quality.
Accurately perform basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) for measurements, quantities, and material usage.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting production deadlines.
Maintain a clean and organized paint booth and work area, following safety and housekeeping guidelines.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and resolve production or quality issues.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of paint experience in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience with industrial painting and powder coating processes.
Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine correct masking and hanging of parts.
Proficiency in using spray guns and working within a paint booth for industrial applications.
Skill in troubleshooting powder coating issues and making adjustments to maintain quality standards.
Knowledge of proper wash, preparation, and cure steps in the powder coat process.
Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers for measurements and production needs.
Ability to excel and maintain productivity in a fast-paced work environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with automated paint lines such as overhead conveyor systems.
Experience working on manual batch lines in an industrial painting setting.
Familiarity with industrial paint preparation, including masking, cleaning, and part handling.
Comfort working with industrial paint equipment and adhering to safety procedures.
Strong attention to detail to ensure consistent coating quality and proper part handling.

Work Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing facility with both automated and manual painting lines. On the automated TTX line, you work with an overhead conveyor system that moves parts through the powder coating process. On the manual batch line, you handle parts more directly while performing industrial painting tasks. Available shifts include first shift from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and second shift from 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. You work in and around paint booths, spray guns, and industrial paint equipment, following safety and cleanliness standards in a fast-paced production environment. Attire is typical for industrial manufacturing, with appropriate protective equipment used as required for painting operations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
