Job Title: Shear Operator

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Production Workers to operate shear machines. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our manufacturing process by operating shear equipment to cut titanium sheets to precise customer specifications. This position is on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. No prior shear or machine operating experience is necessary.

Responsibilities

Lift, position, and align titanium sheets with team members.

Inspect materials for defects and quality issues.

Measure material thickness using micrometers and gauges.

Operate shear machines to cut materials to specifications.

Perform basic machine setup and monitor equipment operation.

Conduct minor machine maintenance and cleaning.

Follow safety and production procedures.

Work as part of a team to meet production goals.

Required Skills & Experience

Ability to stand and work on your feet throughout the shift.

Basic computer skills.

Basic math and measurement skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Interest in a long-term manufacturing career.

Preferred Qualifications

Manufacturing or production experience is helpful but not required.

General labor experience.

Restaurant, retail, or other hands-on work experience welcomed.

Experience using measuring tools is a plus.

Work Environment

Warehouse and manufacturing facility.

Non-climate-controlled environment that can become very hot.

Team-oriented workplace focused on achieving production goals.

Hands-on work with industrial equipment and materials.

Independent work after completing training.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.22 - $20.22/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
