Job Title: Production Grinder - Day Shift Machine Operator
Job Description
This role operates grinding equipment to process titanium sheets to precise customer specifications. You will work in a fast-paced production environment, handling titanium sheets, monitoring grinder performance, and ensuring high-quality finished products through careful inspection and measurement. The position includes comprehensive training for candidates who demonstrate strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a team setting.
Responsibilities
Operate grinding machines to process titanium sheets.
Load, unload, flip, and move titanium sheets using conveyors.
Inspect materials for defects and remove imperfections using grinding tools.
Measure sheet thickness using micrometers and gauges.
Perform basic machine setup and minor maintenance.
Clean grinders and maintain a safe work area.
Install grinding belts and monitor machine performance.
Assist with training new employees when needed.
Perform general production tasks such as:
Deburring
Finishing
Assembly
Material handling
Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
Meet production goals and quality standards.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to identify defects and take accurate measurements.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Comfortable performing repetitive tasks.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy materials throughout the shift.
Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts.
Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled facility.
No machine operating experience required; training is provided.
Preferred Qualifications
Manufacturing, production, or general labor experience.
Experience operating:
Grinders
Saws
Extrusion equipment
Molding machines
Other industrial machinery
Experience with deburring, grinding, finishing, or assembly work.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and tape measures.
Experience working in warehouse or production environments.
Familiarity with safety procedures in manufacturing settings.
Work Environment
Warehouse and manufacturing facility.
Non-climate-controlled environment; can be hot during summer months.

12-hour rotating shifts
Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Night Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
3-2-2 schedule
Work every other weekend with alternating weekends off.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WASHINGTON, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.22 - $20.22/hr.
