Job Title: Shipping Administrator / Supply Chain Assistant (1st Shift)
Job Description
This 1st shift Shipping Administrator / Supply Chain Assistant role supports daily administrative and logistics activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will manage order entry, work order processing, shipping documentation, and general supply chain support to ensure accurate and timely movement of products. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
Enter customer orders and order changes into SAP or ERP systems.
Create, review, and print production work orders.
Verify work order details before releasing them to production.
Scan, file, and maintain electronic records and documentation.
Prepare shipping documents, packing lists, labels, and related paperwork.
Coordinate order schedules with production and logistics teams.
Assist with inventory and shipping activities to ensure on-time delivery.
Communicate with production, operations, purchasing, and management teams.
Perform data entry and general administrative tasks.
Respond to customer inquiries regarding orders and shipment status.
Support purchase order processing and office administration.
Assist with additional supply chain and logistics duties as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in shipping, logistics, production support, or administrative roles.
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience with SAP or other ERP systems preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Strong data entry and computer skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience with shipping and receiving processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Supply chain or logistics experience.
Administrative support experience in manufacturing or distribution.
Customer service experience related to orders and shipments.
Purchase order processing experience.
Experience with filing, scanning, and document management.
Familiarity with production or manufacturing environments.
Work Environment
Office-based role within a manufacturing facility.
Occasional time spent on the production floor.
Fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
Daily use of:
SAP/ERP systems
Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Electronic documentation and record-keeping systems
Frequent interaction with production, logistics, purchasing, and operations teams.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
