Concrete Paving Operations Manager

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Concrete Paving Operations Manager to join a leading heavy civil construction organization supporting concrete paving operations throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest. This individual will be responsible for overseeing large-scale concrete paving projects from planning through execution, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing field operations, crews, equipment, production schedules, and project performance within the heavy highway, road construction, or concrete paving industry. This person will serve as a key leader between project teams, superintendents, project managers, estimators, and executive leadership while driving operational excellence across multiple concurrent projects.

Skills and Requirements

7+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, road building, or concrete paving operations

3+ years of leadership experience managing field operations, construction crews, and project execution

Experience overseeing concrete paving projects including highways, roads, bridges, airport runways, or municipal infrastructure

Strong understanding of construction scheduling, cost controls, production tracking, and resource planning

Knowledge of DOT specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards

Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and equipment utilization

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

Valid driver's license with ability to travel to project sites as needed Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field

Experience with WisDOT or other state DOT projects

Familiarity with HCSS, HeavyJob, Viewpoint, Primavera P6, or other construction management software

Experience managing self-perform concrete paving operations

Strong understanding of asphalt and aggregate operations
