Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position serves as an IT Subject Matter Expert in the Enterprise Systems Division (ESD) of the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant Network Enterprise Center (NEC),managing data center infrastructure, network architecture, and cabling. Responsibilities Plan and schedule the installation of new or modified hardware. Assist staff in developing and documenting systems administration standard operating procedures and determine capacity requirements. Recommend and participate in the implementation, maintenance and enforcement of standard operating procedures (SOPs), software, and controls for various IT systems to ensure appropriate levels of security. Manage facility access and equipment, such as file access controls, software and physical safeguards, and personnel and visitor access. Plan and coordinate data center modernization and standardization efforts to support NETCOM in operating and defending the Army's portion of the Department of Defense Information Network. Analyze and assist in defining the most complex network requirements, configuration optimization, network backup and recovery procedures. Basic Requirement for Information Technology Specialist SYSADMIN/ENTARCH) GS-09: Specialized and Other Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience assisting administering enterprise hardware (servers, routers, or firewalls); assisting with system backups, performance monitoring, and technical documentation (SOPs/TTPs); and implementing cybersecurity controls, user permissions, and security incident reporting.
