JOB REQUIREMENTS: SENIOR COURT ASSISTANT Washington County, located in
West Bend, has an excellent opportunity as a Senior Court Assistant.
Responsible for assisting the Clerk of Courts, Register in Probate, and
Clerk of Juvenile Court in the discharge of their duties of the office
by providing support services for the Circuit Court system Qualified
candidates must possess: High School Diploma or GED and four years of
previous office experience or two years post high school education and
one year experience preferably within a legal setting. A minimum of two
years of computer experience with knowledge and experience in Microsoft
Word and Excel. Ability to keyboard at 50 words per minute. Pay based on

duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as

Establishes and maintains files for court proceedings. Schedules court
hearings, prepares court notices, and orders for the court as required.
Clerks court proceedings as required. Receives, processes and files a
variety of court related and other legal documents; dispenses
information to the general public, other County Departments and
attorneys in response to telephone inquiries or personal visits.
Maintains records management by entering information and data into
computer system. Prepares letters or documents of general, technical,
and confidential nature. Maintains accurate records and prepares
