Position Overview
Entergy's HR and Shared Services (ESS) organizations seek an AI Agent Development Intern to support the design, development, and testing of intelligent automation solutions. You will work with cutting-edge AI and low-code platforms to build and document process automation agents focused on HR and/or ESS workflows. This internship offers hands-on experience in AI agent development, process documentation, and solution delivery in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and test AI agents using Copilot Studio, AWS Claude, Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, and related MS Power tools
Design workflows that automate HR and ESS processes, including employee onboarding, benefits administration, and service request handling
Document current-state processes and procedures in clear, detailed formats
Create comprehensive documentation of new automated processes and workflow steps
Collaborate with HR and/or ESS stakeholders to understand process pain points and automation opportunities
Test and validate agent functionality across different use cases and edge cases
Maintain detailed project logs and solution design documentation
Support process optimization efforts by identifying efficiency gains and automation potential
Participate in project planning and retrospectives to continuously improve delivery
Required Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Systems, or related field
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher is required (on a 4.0 scale)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Project-oriented mindset with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Willingness to learn new technologies and platforms quickly
Attention to detail with strong documentation discipline
Basic understanding of business processes or HR functions
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with low-code/no-code platforms (Power Apps, Power Automate, or similar)
Familiarity with AI and generative AI concepts
Prior internship or project experience in AI, IT, business analysis, or process improvement
Knowledge of HR systems or HR workflows
Experience with process mapping or business process modeling
