The Work involves planning, developing, and implementing major agency program(s) and providing consultative services and technical assistance to program staff, governmental agencies, community organizations, or the general public. ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONSDevelops, improves, and implements policy and procedure changes for the Payment Processing section; provides, organizes, and tracks all training and technical assistance to section staff, other child support staff, and/or state and federal officials on Payment Processing responsibilitiesInitiates, reviews, and researches moderate to highly complex financial-related inquiries that come from morning mail, proxy mailboxes, direct inquiries, and internal requestsDevelops, improves, and implements policy and procedure changes for the Payment Processing section; provides, organizes, and tracks all training and technical assistance to section staff, other child support staff, and/or state and federal officials on Payment Processing responsibilitiesPrepares detailed and comprehensive reports of findings and recommendations, participates in program planning, contract management, contract development, contract award, and contract implementation of methods to improve the processing of child support collections regarding the State Disbursement Unit and within the Payment Processing sectionInitiates and responds to highly complex telephone and written inquiries from field offices, customers, counties, and employers regarding child support financial issues, recoupments, and payroll hold calls; communicates with field offices, counties, banks, employers, and other government agencies identify and correct child support payment problemsPerforms related work as assignedMaintains relevant knowledge necessary to perform essential job functionsAttends work regularly in compliance with agreed-upon work scheduleEnsures security and confidentiality of sensitive and/or protected informationComplies with all agency policies and procedures, including those pertaining to ethics and integrity MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS.Education: Graduation from high school or equivalentEducation: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; experience in the following (or closely related) fields may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis: administration, business, Child Support Program, financial processing, government, statistical analysis, or planningExperience: 8 years of full-time experience working in the following (or closely related) fields: administration, business, Child Support Program, financial processing, government, statistical analysis, or planningSkill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlinesSkill in effective oral and written communicationSkill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision makingAbility to receive and respond positively to constructive feedbackAbility to work cooperatively with others in a professional office environmentAbility to provide excellent customer serviceAbility to work in person at assigned OAG work location, perform all assigned tasks at designated OAG work space within OAG work location, and perform in-person work with coworkers (e.g., collaborating, training, mentoring) for the entirety of every work week (unless on approved leave)Ability to arrange for personal transportation for business-related travelAbility to work more than 40 hours as needed and in compliance with the FLSAAbility to lift and relocate 30 lbs.Ability to travel (including overnight travel) up to 5% Ability to work in person at assigned OAG work location, perform all assigned tasks at designated OAG work space within OAG work location, and perform in-person work with coworkers (e.g., collaborating, training, mentoring) for the entirety of every work week (unless on approved leave)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSSkill in identifying measures or indicators of program and staff performance and in the use of a computer and applicable softwareExperience as a lead and or supervisory duties To apply for a job with the OAG, electronic applications can be submitted through CAPPS Recruit.
