As an Armed Security Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. You will respond to incidents, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and deliver dependable service with integrity. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time

Sat10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

Sun10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.

Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with campus contacts and public emergency services as needed.

Monitor access points and assist with access control procedures, visitor direction, and reporting of unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.

Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, patrol observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.

Possess an armed guard card or license.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

CPR certification is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
