We are seeking a- Sr Market Research Analyst I -to help shape the future of residential resilience and support the Building Science Team's efforts to identify new growth opportunities in North America with a strong focus on wildfire prone market segments. In this cross-functional role, you will work closely with both internal and external customers, sales, marketing, R&D, industry experts and dedicated field resources to identify and assess opportunities for new products, solutions, and services that address wildfire risk.-
Reporting to the Senior Market Research Analyst, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of how builders, contractors, homeowners, regulators, insurers, and other stakeholders influence decisions related to wildfire risk mitigation, as well as how evolving market drivers, including building codes, insurance requirements, incentives, and construction practices influence adoption and market demand. Through primary and secondary research, market segmentation, voice of customer, and competitive intelligence, you will generate actionable insights that influence business and marketing strategy, guide innovation priorities, and support the development of differentiated solutions for residential construction.
Key Responsibilities include:
-Market Intelligence and Trend Analysis
Conduct market and application research to identify market size, emerging trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities.
Identify target applications, customer segments, and regional market opportunities.
Support the development of business plans, product positioning, and value propositions.
Identify key building code and insurance drivers for construction practices.
Map the competitive landscape, including product & system offerings, positioning, and innovation strategies.
Stakeholder & Field Insights
Design and execute voice of customer research programs utilizing interviews, surveys, and field research with builders, contractors, and homeowners to uncover pain points, unmet needs and adoption barriers.
Analyze pain points and challenges faced during construction and post-occupancy to inform innovation opportunities.
Present research findings and recommendations to key internal stakeholders.
Collaboration
Partner with R&D, product management, building science, marketing, and commercial teams to prioritize innovation opportunities and support business case development.
Collaborate with industry experts, dedicated field resources, sales, and corporate marketing functions to deliver compelling, data-driven marketing campaigns.

Requirements:
BA/BS with 7 years of experience or MA/MS with 3 years of experience plus demonstrated technical judgement/accomplishments or an entry level PhD in architectural engineering, architecture, building science, engineering or related fields, and experience preferably in building product/system strategy, construction market research, construction or related industries.
Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods, including data analysis and visualization.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across customers, sales, marketing, R&D, technical experts, and leadership.
Agile mindset and ability to pivot quickly to focus on activities that drive the most value.
Strong ability to prioritize, manage and track work across multiple projects and stakeholders.
Willingness to take initiative and continuously learn in a technical and commercial environment.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills-able to translate complex market data & insights into compelling narratives and actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Basic understanding of residential construction, building products, and building science preferred
Experience in Wildfire related research or construction preferred.
Ability to travel approximately 25% to conduct field research, meet customers, and attend industry and company events

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position, which is $92,000 to $142,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $103,040 to $159,040. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.-
