As a Manufacturing Test Engineer - Electrical, you will drive product quality and manufacturing excellence by developing, executing, and improving testing processes for sophisticated power conversion technologies. Your expertise will directly contribute to the successful delivery of cutting-edge energy solutions, ensuring products meet the highest standards for quality, safety, and customer performance.
This role offers a unique opportunity to combine hands-on electrical testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams in a dynamic production environment.
What You'll Do
Execute functional and routine testing for solar inverters, battery energy storage systems, power stations, reservoir inverter units, and variable frequency drives.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to inverter and power station testing using strong electrical engineering principles and product knowledge.
Identify manufacturing challenges and implement cost-effective testing solutions to improve quality and production efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on defect prevention and manufacturing testing excellence.
Develop and maintain test plans, testing procedures, and engineering test reports.
Communicate testing feedback and design improvement recommendations to engineering teams.
Ensure compliance with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.
Verify calibration and proper operation of testing instruments and measurement devices.
Monitor and report testing metrics for management review and process improvement initiatives.
Manage and support Customer Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities.
Ensure testing methodologies align with applicable IEC and UL standards.
Maintain safe work practices and contribute to a culture of operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering from an accredited university or college.
Minimum of 4+ years of experience in inverter testing, electrical testing, or related manufacturing test environments.
Strong experience with electrical equipment testing and manufacturing electrical testing .
Knowledge of low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical systems .
Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and manufacturing test issues using a structured, analytical approach.
Experience using electrical testing equipment such as:
Voltage test probes
Current probes
Oscilloscopes
Working knowledge of manufacturing quality, engineering, and testing processes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to prepare technical reports and communicate findings effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with P80i systems .
Knowledge of PLC controls and industrial control systems.
Exposure to renewable energy, power conversion, or energy storage technologies.
Experience supporting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities.
Familiarity with IEC and UL testing standards.
Experience leading projects, coordinating multiple priorities, or mentoring team members.

Pay Details: $48.51 per hour
