Job Title: 2nd Shift Supervisor
Job Description
The 2nd Shift Supervisor oversees a team of 10-15 employees across multiple departments, including warehouse, inspection, rework, and receiving. This role provides day-to-day leadership, training, and performance guidance while coordinating shipments and managing inventory using SAP. The supervisor ensures that production priorities are met, quality standards are maintained, and continuous improvement practices are implemented throughout the shift.
Responsibilities
Supervise 10-15 employees across warehouse, inspection, rework, and receiving departments during the 2nd shift.
Provide daily direction, guidance, and support to shift personnel to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Deliver training to employees on processes, procedures, and best practices to maintain high performance and quality standards.
Conduct performance management activities, including feedback sessions and coaching conversations, to support employee development.
Coordinate shipments and prioritize orders to ensure that customer and production requirements are met in the correct order of importance.
Perform inventory management activities using SAP, including tracking, monitoring, and reconciling inventory levels.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies and implementing solutions to enhance productivity and accuracy.
Monitor workflow across departments and adjust staffing or assignments as needed to meet operational demands.
Promote a safe and organized work environment by reinforcing safety procedures and adherence to company policies.
Collaborate with other departments and leadership to resolve issues and ensure alignment on production and logistics goals.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of experience in a lead role or supervisor aide position.
Supervision and leadership skills with the ability to manage a team of 10-15 employees.
Strong communication skills to provide clear direction, feedback, and coaching to employees.
Experience in production or warehouse supervision (1+ year preferred).
Production management experience with a focus on coordinating workflows and meeting priorities.
Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement process enhancements.
Proficiency in inventory management using SAP or similar enterprise systems.
Demonstrated supervisory skills, including performance management and coaching.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Production supervisory experience is preferred.
Logistics supervisory experience is preferred.
Experience working in a warehouse environment supporting specialized products.
Familiarity with inspection, rework, receiving, and shipping operations.
Ability to work effectively on a fixed 2nd shift schedule.

Work Environment
The role is based in a brand-new, wide-open warehouse facility that supports specialized products. The operation includes dedicated areas for receiving, picking, inspection, shipping, and specialized workstations. The position follows a 2nd shift schedule of 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The environment is structured, process-driven, and focused on safety, accuracy, and efficiency, with regular interaction across multiple functional areas and the use of SAP for inventory management.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shakopee, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $28.85/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
