Description

The Medical Assistant (MA) IV works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA IV is capable of performing all aspects of the MA I and MA II and MA III roles. Additionally, the MA IV serves in a leader role or is highly skilled and trained in multiple complex specialty areas and oversees ambassadors, change agents, quality champions, and preceptors within the clinic.

Required Qualifications:

Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants or,

Coursework/Training: Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program or,

Coursework/Training: Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces

National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire:

3 years Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting.

3 years Experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.

6 months Working experience in a PSJH clinic within the last 3 years, OR 18 months experience in a Lead MA role in a clinical setting in lieu of

Preferred Qualifications:

Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
