Boss Market & Kitchen is seeking a dependable and motivated Restaurant General Manager to oversee daily operations at 720 W 9th Street in Chester, PA.

Boss Market & Kitchen operates a drive-thru takeout restaurant, outdoor fresh produce market.

The General Manager will be responsible for helping establish systems and managing the day-to-day operation of the location inside and outside.

The General Manager will work directly with ownership during the startup and training period and will gradually assume responsibility for managing daily operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

. Open and close the business according to established procedures

. Supervise kitchen and outdoor produce employees

. Coordinate daily inside and outside operations

. Maintain employee schedules and monitor attendance

. Assign daily employee responsibilities and workstations

. Monitor drive-thru service and customer experience

. Assist with POS operations and cash handling procedures

. Complete opening and closing cash counts

. Monitor inventory and identify products that need to be reordered

. Coordinate food, produce, packaging, and supply deliveries

. Monitor food and produce waste

. Ensure cleaning and sanitation checklists are completed

. Ensure employees follow food safety procedures

. Help maintain compliance with health, fire, and workplace safety requirements

. Monitor the number of employees and authorized individuals working inside the building to maintain occupancy compliance

. Communicate maintenance and equipment issues to ownership

. Assist with produce market setup and operations when necessary

. Coordinate commercial kitchen users and scheduled vendors as directed by ownership

. Handle routine customer concerns professionally

. Train and supervise new employees

. Support PA CareerLink OJT and work-experience employees

. Provide ownership with daily operational updates including sales, staffing, inventory, waste, customer issues, and maintenance concerns

The General Manager will work between the indoor restaurant operation and outdoor produce market as needed.

Kitchen employees will primarily remain inside and produce associates will primarily remain outside.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable supervising employees, able to communicate effectively, and willing to learn the complete Boss Market & Kitchen operating system.

Previous restaurant or management experience is preferred but candidates with strong leadership, customer service, retail, food service, or supervisory experience will also be considered.

Training will be provided in Boss Market & Kitchen procedures, food-service operations, produce operations, inventory control, POS procedures, scheduling, employee supervision, safety procedures, and daily business reporting.

This position is intended to develop into a key leadership role capable of managing normal daily operations with limited direct owner supervision.

Full-time position. Evening and weekend availability may be required.
