The University of Maine Cooperative Extension is seeking an organized, customer-focused Administrative Specialist CL3 to support Agriculture and Horticulture programming in York County. This position serves as the administrative hub for the York County office, helping connect community members with trusted, research-based educational resources while supporting the staff and volunteers who deliver Extension programs. The successful candidate will play an essential role in coordinating educational events, managing program logistics, maintaining financial and administrative records, and providing exceptional service to the public. Normal daily work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position pays $21.93/hour, or applicable transfer rate in accordance with the ACSUM collective bargaining agreement.

Required:
These are required knowledge and skills so be sure that you demonstrate how you meet each one in your resume or cover letter.
60 credits or more of higher education or equivalent work experience and training; and three years administrative support experience.
Experience in office settings, performing a variety of routine to non-routine clerical and administrative support responsibilities and tasks.
Ability to communicate effectively using oral, written and electronic methods.
Proficiency with computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, as well as Google Drive and document management software.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in an autonomous work environment as well work effectively as part of a team, and able to achieve and document measurable results.
Demonstrated knowledge of and skills in report preparation.
Ability to maintain moderately complex databases.
Demonstrated computer skills including MS Word, Excel, WordPress, Social media management, Graphic design and internal database applications.
Exemplary and timely customer service skills
