Job Title: Electrical Assembler
Job Description
This role focuses on the electrical assembly of custom refrigeration houses, similar to the large units often seen outside grocery stores. You will run wiring to complete refrigeration assemblies, install and wire lighting and ceiling fans, and contribute to both electrical and mechanical assembly work. Some projects include detailed prints and schematics, while others require collaboration with the team to determine the best approach. You will use a variety of hand and power tools to build high-quality, custom units that meet specific customer requirements.
Responsibilities
Perform electrical assembly of custom refrigeration houses and related units.
Run and route electrical wiring to complete the assembly of refrigeration systems.
Install and wire lights, ceiling fans, and other electrical components as requested by customers.
Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and schematics to guide assembly work.
Collaborate with team members to determine wiring layouts and processes when prints or schematics are not available.
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete electrical and mechanical assemblies.
Perform mechanical assembly tasks as needed to support the overall build of each unit.
Work in teams of 3-4 people to build units efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Follow quality and safety procedures while performing electrical wiring and mechanical assembly.
Stand for extended periods and perform regular lifting, bending, reaching, and other physical tasks required for assembly work.
Essential Skills
Experience with electrical wiring in a manufacturing or construction environment, or current enrollment in a relevant electrical program.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
Hands-on experience with electrical assembly and wiring of components and systems.
Ability to perform panel wiring and follow schematic diagrams.
Comfort using hand tools and power tools for both electrical and mechanical assembly tasks.
Physical ability to stand for 8 or more hours per day.
Ability to regularly lift 20+ pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform frequent standing, sitting, bending, and reaching during the workday.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Mechanical aptitude and a strong willingness to learn electrical wiring for candidates with a mechanically inclined experience.
Interest in cross-training in related areas such as brazing, quality, or functional testing.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively in small build teams.
Flexibility and adaptability to work on custom projects that may vary significantly day to day.

Work Environment
The role is based in a large manufacturing building where units are built in teams of 3-4 people in a fast-paced, well-lit, and organized environment. The shop is kept clean, though you can expect to get dirty due to the nature of the work. There is no air conditioning, but fans and air flow systems help maintain circulation throughout the facility. You will spend most of the day on your feet, working with hand and power tools and handling electrical and mechanical components. Steel-toed shoes and long pants are required every day as part of the standard dress code.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anoka, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
