Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Lab Informatics Integration Consultant to support the integration of laboratory automation, informatics, and scientific data systems within a highly innovative R&D environment. This individual will serve as a critical liaison between laboratory scientists, automation vendors, software engineering teams, and internal stakeholders to help advance laboratory digitalization initiatives.
The ideal consultant will possess a unique blend of scientific domain expertise, technical systems knowledge, and project delivery experience. They will work at the intersection of laboratory operations, data analytics, automation platforms, orchestration systems, and software development teams to ensure seamless integration and execution of strategic laboratory initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with laboratory scientists, analytical chemists, cheminformatics teams, software engineers, and system architects to support ongoing laboratory informatics initiatives.
Serve as the primary technical liaison between scientific users and technology delivery teams.
Facilitate the integration of laboratory automation platforms, instrumentation, and associated informatics systems.
Collaborate with automation, scheduling, and orchestration vendors to ensure solutions align with business and scientific objectives.
Support the implementation and optimization of digital laboratory workflows spanning the design, make, test, and analyze phases of drug discovery and development.
Evaluate and translate scientific and operational requirements into technical solutions and delivery plans.
Drive stakeholder conversations across scientific, technical, and operational functions.
Assist with vendor management, technical reviews, solution assessments, and deployment planning.
Monitor project milestones, deliverables, risks, and dependencies to ensure successful execution.
Support the transfer, accessibility, and usability of scientific data across multiple laboratory and software platforms.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
5+ years of experience working within laboratory informatics, lab automation, scientific software, or laboratory technology environments.
Demonstrated experience supporting automated laboratory platforms and instrumentation integrations.
Experience working with laboratory orchestration, scheduling, or workflow automation solutions.
Strong understanding of scientific data workflows and laboratory operations.
Ability to communicate effectively with both scientific and technical stakeholders.
Experience collaborating with software engineers, architects, vendors, and scientific teams. - Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a scientific or technical discipline.
Experience supporting high-throughput laboratory environments.
Familiarity with analytical chemistry workflows and instrumentation.
Experience working with cheminformatics or scientific data management platforms.
Exposure to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences R&D environments.
