Building Operating Engineer

Locations: Macomb, IL
RESPONSIBILITIES: Building Operating Engineers perform skilled work in
the maintenance, repair, and minor installation of heating, ventilating,
air conditioning, electrical, mechanical, laundry equipment, kitchen
equipment, and other related equipment.
WORK LOCATION: Macomb Campus
APPOINTMENT: As soon as possible
HOURLY WAGE: \$40.66

Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Three (3) years (36 months) of full-time employment in the
maintenance of building mechanical equipment and/or as a mechanic of
refrigeration, ventilation, and/or food-service equipment.
Demonstrated experience as an HVAC mechanic. An Associate\'s degree
or equivalent in HVAC may be substituted for the demonstrated
experience.
A Refrigerant Certification for recovery and recycling of equipment
(EPA section 608 Technician Certification) is required.
Pre-graduation applicants are welcome to apply. In order to be
considered for employment, the degree must be conferred at the time of
application, unless applicant is in the final semester of a degree
program; if so, the degree must be conferred at the time of appointment.
For a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally
accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or
equivalent from an international accrediting body).
