Job Description

This position is responsible for producing machined components by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, maintaining equipment and supplies (Kanban).

Machine Setup (MS), Manufacturing Procedure (MP) instructions, job orders, specifications, engineering drawings, and job order special instructions. Maintains quality system requirements for medical device manufacturer according to ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR 820. Responsible for setups, maintain machines, maintain tooling, machine maintenance, support robots, and help support grinding machine operators.

Essential functions

Reads and interprets blueprints, procedures, control settings and machining methods and sequences.

Verifies that parts meet acceptable quality standards.

Able to perform setup, start production and monitors display and machine operation to detect malfunctions.

Performs in-process inspection to measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications.

Inspect part geometry and adjust correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions.

Review job order, drawing, SOP, MP, and MS to retrieve information for Set-Up.

Remove tooling and inspect for damage and return to tool crib.

Maintain tooling and machines, if requires repair, complete repair request form.

Prepare and assemble tooling per job order and/or drawing.

Remove and install tooling and perform machine set-up.

Verify set up and set up samples for accuracy per customer specification.

Support automatic machines, robots, and production operators; achieve and maintain efficiency and quality of product and scrap yield.

Follows company policies regarding safety regulations.

May provide training to new onboarding employees.

Other duties as assigned.

Competencies

Must speak/read/write English.

Must be familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices {GMP)/Quality System Regulations (QSR)/Good.

Documentation Practices (GDP) Great Attention to detail.

Performs basic PM to Equipment.

Strong math skills for inputting specific dimensions and figures into the CNC machinery

Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
