The Distribution & Logistics Manager is responsible for supporting and optimizing the logistics, warehousing, and distribution network for CertainTeed Roofing across North America. This role plays a key part in ensuring superior customer service, efficient inventory management, effective utilization of third party warehouse partners, and continuous improvement of distribution operations.
This position partners closely with Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing, Sales, Customer Service, and third party logistics providers to improve operational performance, reduce costs, enhance inventory accuracy, and drive standardization across the distribution network.
In this role, you will:
Manage and support third party warehouse operations to achieve safety, service, inventory, and cost objectives.
Partner with Supply Chain Planning to optimize inventory levels and distribution requirements planning while supporting working capital goals.
Monitor warehouse utilization, performance metrics, and operational compliance across the distribution network.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve customer service, order visibility, fulfillment accuracy, and on time delivery performance.
Lead initiatives to optimize warehouse layouts, material flow, slotting strategies, and material handling processes.
Support the continued development and utilization of warehouse management systems, reporting tools, and digital capabilities.
Drive warehouse standardization efforts and ensure alignment with company logistics standards and inventory control guidelines.
Develop and implement logistics best practices that improve operational efficiency and reduce distribution costs.
Support sustainability initiatives and projects that contribute to long term business and environmental goals.
Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects focused on warehousing, order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and supply chain performance.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive supply chain, warehousing, logistics, or distribution experience, including at least 4 years supporting distribution or warehouse operations.
Strong knowledge of supply chain management, logistics processes, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
Experience working with third party logistics providers and distribution partners.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
Experience utilizing ERP systems and warehouse management systems.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast paced environment.
Ability to travel as required to support warehouse locations and business initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting multi site or North American distribution networks.
Knowledge of SAP and warehouse management technologies.
Experience leading warehouse optimization, network design, or logistics transformation initiatives.
Background in continuous improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence programs.
Experience supporting sustainability, automation, or digital supply chain initiatives.
Professional certifications in Supply Chain, Logistics, Project Management, or Continuous Improvement.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $102,000 to $158,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13 % of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $115,200 to $178,500 . Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
