Description We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Generalist to support a non-profit organization in Fort Collins, Colorado. This Contract position will provide hands-on HR coverage across recruiting, employee support, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and compliance while the organization conducts its search for a permanent team member. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, a service-oriented approach, and the ability to manage confidential information in a fast-paced, fully onsite environment.

Responsibilities:

Support employees and managers across the full employment cycle, including hiring, onboarding, development, leave administration, and offboarding activities.

Coordinate talent acquisition efforts by advertising openings, reviewing applications, arranging interviews, and helping new hires transition smoothly into the organization.

Address workplace concerns by partnering with leadership on employee relations matters, disciplinary documentation, and timely issue resolution.

Administer benefit-related processes, assist with open enrollment activities, maintain accurate eligibility records, and work with external partners on employee status changes.

Review timekeeping details and assist with payroll validation, reporting, and related documentation to help ensure accurate pay and compliance with applicable tax requirements.

Track and manage leave programs such as paid time off, protected leaves, disability claims, unemployment matters, and workers' compensation records with proper documentation.

Guide supervisors through performance management activities, including evaluations, feedback conversations, goal tracking, and coaching support.

Maintain secure and accurate employee files, HRIS records, job descriptions, and required employment documentation in accordance with policy and legal standards.

Monitor changes in employment laws and organizational policies, update practices as needed, and help maintain required labor postings and compliance reporting.

Provide HR reporting, audit support, and system administration assistance in Paylocity, including record updates, troubleshooting, and workforce data maintenance. Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or closely related HR role.

Demonstrated background in recruiting, employee onboarding, and day-to-day HR administration.

Experience supporting benefits coordination, leave tracking, and employee records management.

Working knowledge of employee relations practices, including handling sensitive workplace issues with professionalism and discretion.

Familiarity with HRIS platforms; experience with Paylocity is preferred.

Understanding of payroll support processes, timecard review, and HR compliance requirements.

Ability to work onsite in Fort Collins, Colorado in a business casual office environment.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage confidential information accurately. TalentMatch®
