Early Intervention Behavior Technician / ABA Technician

Position Overview

Karing Kids is seeking caring, dependable, and energetic Early Intervention Behavior Technicians / ABA Technicians to provide one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis therapy to children ages 2--12 diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities.

Behavior Technicians work directly with children in clinic and classroom settings under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst or qualified clinical supervisor. This position is a strong opportunity for candidates interested in behavioral health, autism services, early childhood development, education, psychology, social work, or healthcare.

Entry-level candidates may be considered. Candidates must be willing to complete the required 40-hour training.

Essential Responsibilities

The Early Intervention Behavior Technician will:

Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA or supervising clinician.

Provide direct one-on-one ABA therapy to children ages 2--12.

Teach and reinforce communication, social, play, emotional regulation, and daily living skills.

Support clients in learning positive and functional ways to communicate their wants, needs, and feelings.

Assist children with following directions, transitioning between activities, and participating appropriately in clinic and classroom environments.

Collect and record accurate data on behaviors, skill development, and treatment goals during each session.

Monitor client progress and communicate observations to supervising clinicians.

Maintain a positive, engaging, safe, and supportive learning environment.

Collaborate with families, clinical staff, and classroom staff to support consistency across services.

Follow all company policies, ethical guidelines, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements.

Work Environment

Behavior Technicians may provide services in multiple onsite settings depending on client needs, schedule, and skill level.

Clinic-Based Services

Work directly with clients in a structured clinical environment.

Implement individualized therapy programs and skill-building activities.

Participate in supervision, feedback, team collaboration, and treatment support meetings.

Classroom-Based Services

Support children within classroom or learning environments.

Assist clients with participation in academic, social, and group activities.

Help clients practice classroom readiness, peer interaction, and appropriate behavior.

Collaborate with teachers, supervisors, and clinical staff to support client success.

Behavior Technicians help children build skills that support independence, communication, learning, and everyday success, including:

Communication skills

Social interaction skills

Play and leisure skills

Following directions

Emotional regulation and coping skills

Daily living and self-help skills
