The senior adviser supports the deputy director in developing and implementing strategic initiatives, provides strategic direction on various issues on behalf of the deputy director, and represents the deputy director on key committees, groups, and projects.The senior adviser is an important member of the Business Enablement leadership team, which is responsible for four functions: Business Planning and Execution, Enterprise Talent Initiatives, Business Intelligence, and Workplace Experience. The senior adviser partners with the leadership team to execute the work of the group, helping to escalate key decisions and risks to the deputy director for resolution. The senior adviser also serves as a key partner to leaders outside of the Business Enablement group and interfaces regularly with other senior leaders in the S&R division, in other divisions of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve, and across the Federal Reserve System. Operating in a highly matrixed environment, they will use their relationship-building skills to build coalitions, bridge gaps, align interests, and bring multifaceted stakeholders together to function as a unified enterprise. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Duties for this role include the following:1) Providing specialized expertise, advice and counsel on complex issues, policies, or decisions relating to the business operations of the Supervision & Regulation (S&R) division and the Federal Reserve System Supervision function more broadly.2) Overseeing the development and completion of special projects and initiatives to support the deputy director's accountability for the four functions that comprise the Business Enablement group: Business Planning and Execution, Enterprise Talent Initiatives, Business Intelligence, and Workplace Experience.3) Supporting the deputy director's interactions with other divisions, departments and Federal Reserve banks and representing the deputy director on key committees, groups, and projects.4) Building coalitions across the Board and the Federal Reserve System to identify and pursue innovations and process improvements that can enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the supervision function.5) Representing the Federal Reserve in meetings with high level representatives of domestic and foreign governmental and supervisory agencies and other external entities as needed.
