We are a private, nonprofit Community Action Agency committed to our mission of \"creating opportunities for people and communities to reduce poverty and increase self-sufficiency.\" Center Operations Assistant - Head Start Fond du Lac ADVOCAP\'s Head Start program is accepting applications for a Center Operations Assistant for our Fond du Lac Head Start Center. Position will begin mid-August! Head Start prepares children ages 3-5 with quality early childhood education in Fond du Lac and Green Lake counties. We help families reach financial, career, and educational goals, while building resilience and confidence for the entire family. This position will support the daily operations of the Center by partnering with the Center Operations Manager to ensure the program runs safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and licensing requirements. This position provides flexible operational support across classrooms, transportation, and administrative functions, helping maintain continuity of services while allowing teaching staff and leadership to focus on delivering high-quality experiences for children and families. Responsibilities Include: Provide classroom coverage as needed to maintain required staff-to-child rations during breaks, meetings, staff absences, emergencies, transitions and other operation needs Assist with daily supervision of children, implementing active supervision strategies and maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment Monitor classrooms, common areas, and facilities to identify safety concerns, maintenance needs, or compliance issues and communicate them promptly to the Center Operations Manager Responsible for supporting child safety and program operations as needed. Duties may include child supervision, bus monitoring, kitchen or meal service support, classroom assistance, and other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the program and ensure compliance with Head Start performance standards.
