Job Description:

The Manufacturing Technician supports manufacturing engineering to ensure that new tools and fixturing are developed, including maintenance and repair. This position assists engineering with the movement of lines and tools as necessary to support production assembly. Additional duties include supporting Research & Development with small projects, creating samples, and cutting parts to print.

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician supports manufacturing engineering by analyzing and improving production methods, designing and implementing new equipment, and monitoring and maintaining existing machinery. Work closely with engineers to develop and optimize manufacturing processes, and to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise. They may also be involved in the design and testing of new products, as well as the development of new manufacturing techniques.

Job Responsibilities:

Support production processes through proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives

Conduct testing and analysis on production equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency

Design and implement modifications and upgrades to production equipment and processes

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and improve processes

Train and support production personnel on the proper operation and maintenance of production equipment

Develop and maintain technical documentation and records

Help to rework/repair assembly tooling when not working

Problem solves assembly issues

Help develop and set up new shop processes

Design and make assembly tooling when needed

Perform other various production support tasks

Assist Manufacturing Productivity Engineering Group as needed

Job Requirements:

Knowledge of Assembly Processes and Machining Operations

Ability to design, dimension and model items

Detail oriented

Creative thinking

Problem solving and systematic diagnosis

Self-motivated

Interpersonal skills

Good written, communication and oral presentation skills

Knowledge of basic trigonometry

Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings or blueprints

Experience solving Shop Floor problems

Basic Microsoft Office and Adobe operations

Education Requirements:

Associate degree and 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment

OR Technical Diploma / Certification and 10 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding, follow detailed and uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete standardized situations.
