Go to CAPPS Recruit to Sign I https://capps.taleo.net/careersection/ex/jobsearch.ftl?lang=enGENERAL DESCRIPTION: Perform highly complex (senior-level) helping the agency evaluate and manage artificial intelligence tools and data systems to support its mission. It reviews new AI technologies, gathers requirements, coordinates with stakeholders, and ensures projects follow governance and fairness standards. Assists in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of artificial intelligence (AI) policies, procedures, and strategies to support the agency's operational goals2. Performs analysis on new and emerging AI platforms for risk, relevancy, and feasibility at the agency.3. Elicit and validate requirements using interviews, workshops, surveys and document analysis. Maintain documentation from business requirements to technical specifications.4. Coordinates with agency stakeholders to understand and manage AI initiatives.5. Ensures compliance with AI governance frameworks.6. Proto@type user interfaces and workflows (wireframes/mockups) to align stakeholders and reduce rework.7. Manages initiatives focused on data quality, model fairness, and explainability. Support data migration planning, mapping, cleansing and reconciliation.8. Manages relationships with internal stakeholders, academia, and vendors.9. Reviews, evaluates, selects, and implements machine learning models and large language models.10. Assist with developing and supporting an Artificial Intelligence (AI) community through research, training opportunities, and mentorship in the established user group.11. Maintain knowledge of current industry practices and toolsets used in data analytics, including machine learning and artificial intelligence.12. Attend work regularly and observe approved work hours in accordance with agency leave and attendance policies.13. Perform other duties as assigned.GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS:Education - High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelors in Computer Science or Information Management is preferred.Experience - Minimum of two (2) years experience in managing, deploying, or developing artificial intelligence and/or Machine Learning systems in regulated environments is required. Minimum of one (1) years experience leading cross functional teams and experience with cloud AI services is preferred. Substitution Note: Additional work experience of the @type described or other related education may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis. Licensure and/or Certification - If driving is required, must possess a valid driver license from state of residence.Regulatory Knowledge - Working knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly assimilate information related to TXDPS, State and Federal regulations, legislation, guidelines, policies and procedures.Leadership skills - Ability to develop plans, policies, and procedures for efficient workflow and overall effectiveness. Ability to provide clear direction to others, promote teamwork and motivate others to accomplish goals. Technology - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and appropriate levels of proficiency with utilized software and systems (e.g. SharePoint, Oracle, SQL, Python, or similar language) and be able to learn new software/systems.Interpersonal Skills - Must demonstrate an ability to exercise poise, tact, diplomacy and an ability to establish and maintain positive, working/professional relationships with internal/external customers.
