Summary This position is located in the Office of Administrative Services (OAS), in the Workplace Strategy & Design Management Division (WSDM), Space & Move Management Branch (SMMB). The WSDM Division provides several administrative and policy direction functions; to include space and facilities management; space planning, move and design services; facilities help desk; and building renovations. Responsibilities The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia. Presence at the Alexandria, VA campus is required for this role, as it includes on site functions that must be performed in person. Position may be eligible for situational telework in accordance with agency policy/business unit discretion. The agency currently allows for 52 hours of telework per calendar year. The individual selected for this position: You are committed to participating in in the monitoring of Facility maintenance management program and staffs the Facility Help Desk. You thrive in interacting with various internal and external customers and providing information and updates with colleagues, other staff, management, and customers to help facilitate completion or resolve or work requests that come through the Facility Help Desk. You value assisting in conducting weekly inspections of building common areas when the primary person or building manager is unavailable, conducts inspections of public or special spaces, and assists with conducting interior building inspections. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience monitoring building operations, maintenance, repair, custodial, recycling, environmental management and alterations, etc. to ensure compliance with agency requirements; Experience resolving problems for improving building management services; AND Experience preparing oral and written communications related to building and preventive maintenance programs. Or Master's or equivalent graduate degree (if related); Or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree (if related); Or LL.B, LL.M., or J.D.
