Counterintelligence (CI) Investigations Desk Officer MID
HOW A CI INVESTIGATIONS DESK OFFICER MID WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
This effort provides Analytical Support Services to the U.S. Army Counterintelligence (CI), Counterterrorism (CT), and Human Intelligence (HUMINT) enterprise, supporting the United States Army Counterintelligence Command (USACIC), its subordinate commands, and associated activities. The CI Investigations Desk Officer MID supports ongoing CI investigations and operations by integrating, managing, and analyzing intelligence information. This role provides focused analytical support, identifies investigative gaps, enhances operational potential, and strengthens the protection of HUMINT activities from CI threats. The position requires coordination across DoW and interagency partners, development of CI products, and delivery of routine operational briefings.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Integrate, manage, and assess intelligence information in support of CI investigations and operations
Review and analyze CI-related reporting and case files; produce detailed Analytical Reviews identifying investigative gaps, CI indicators, flags, vulnerabilities, and operational opportunities
Conduct comprehensive CI reviews to identify potential threats to HUMINT activities
Coordinate with analytical elements across the DoW, ACIC, Army Service Component Commands, other government agencies, and DA regarding CI investigation matters
Provide threat-related data and findings to internal divisions to support ongoing CI investigations
Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational briefings to Government Team, Branch, and Division Chiefs
Review active and terminated investigations for vulnerabilities, emerging trends, and remaining leads; prepare investigative materials for proper retirement
Develop CI products and assessments as required

Security Clearance : Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph
US Citizenship Required
Training: Must be a graduate of any of the following Military Department Counterintelligence Agent Certifying Courses:
Army - Counterintelligence Special Agent Course (CISAC)
Army - 351L Course (or its predecessor)
Army - 35E Course (or its predecessor)
U.S. Air Force -Basic Special Investigators Course (BISC)
U.S. Air Force Special Investigations Academy, or predecessor
Navy - Special Agent Basic Training Program (SABTB)
Naval Criminal Investigative Service Training Academy, or predecessor
Experience/Education: Minimum 10 years' experience as a credentialed Counterintelligence Special Agent and a high school diploma. At least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years. College education cannot be used in lieu of experience.
Understanding of CI investigations
Strong understanding of CI Flags
Understanding of FIE TTPs
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven experience conducting counterintelligence investigations and producing analytical reviews that identify investigative gaps, CI indicators, vulnerabilities, and operational opportunities
Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively across DoW, Army components, and interagency partners, providing threat-related assessments and delivering routine operational briefings to senior leadership
Strong background in reviewing, assessing, and retiring CI case files, with the ability to develop comprehensive CI products that support HUMINT protection and ongoing investigative efforts

The likely salary range for this position is $121,550 - $164,450. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
