Role Overview:
The Learning and Development Support Specialist provides essential administrative coordination and organizational support to the instructional design and learning administration teams, assisting in the development, delivery, and maintenance of training materials and learning programs for DCS employees, parents, and provider networks. We are seeking a bright and enthusiastic candidate with a background in training, education, social work, policy, or writing and editing to help coordinate and implement virtual and in-person trainings. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, tech-savvy, well organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment supporting a critical statewide mission, even without prior experience in child or human services.
Salary:

A Day in the Life:
Responsibilities include:
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the instructional design and learning administration teams.
Assist with the organization, formatting, and quality review of training materials, job aids, and e-Learning content.
Maintain project documentation, schedules, and internal communication tracking.
Coordinate meetings, training sessions, and project workflows with internal and external stakeholders.
Support file management and version control for course content and design assets.
Update training records and assist with Learning Management System (LMS) tasks as assigned (e.g., uploading materials, managing course listings).
Conduct basic research, gather content from subject matter experts, and prepare materials for instructional designers.
Assist with internal processes, templates, and standard operating procedures to enhance team efficiency.
Provide general administrative support to Learning & Development leadership as needed.

What You'll Need for Success:
You must meet the following requirement to be considered for employment:
Strong organizational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail.
Comfort with managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a collaborative environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Familiarity with LMS platforms or e-Learning tools is a plus (e.g., SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, Articulate, Canva).
Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and support a positive team culture.
Prior experience in training, instructional support, or administrative coordination is helpful but not required.
Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
A degree is not required for this position.
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
