Asphalt Operations Manager - Plant City

Must have the following in order to apply:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Three (3) years of experience in asphalt paving operations or road construction

Proven experience supervising crews and managing field operations

Knowledge of asphalt paving processes, equipment, and materials

Understanding of DOT specifications and quality standards

Ability to read and interpret plans, schedules, and job cost reports

Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Must be able to work days, nights or weekends as needed

Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management systems (preferred).

Required Screenings:

Drug Testing/Screening; Background Checks; Motor Vehicle Record Check; Drug Free Workplace.

Job Description:

The company is seeking to fill an Asphalt Operations Manager position for their local operations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and supervise asphalt paving operations across multiple projects

Manage field personnel, including foremen, operators, and labor crews

Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Monitor production, schedules, and job costs to meet or exceed project goals

Coordinate equipment, trucking, and material deliveries to maintain workflow

Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and performance

Troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions in real time

Collaborate with project managers on scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation

Train, mentor, and develop field staff

Maintain accurate daily reports, production tracking, and documentation

Ability to complete all required daily, weekly, and monthly reports

Must be knowledgeable as to all aspects of safety, OSHA, equal employment and affirmative action programs

Other duties as assigned

$125,000 to $135,000 per year; Depends on experience; Benefits are offered.
