Description

We are looking for an accountant to join a manufacturing organization on a contract basis. This on-site opportunity is suited for an accounting specialist who can manage core accounting activities, support accurate financial reporting, and work effectively in a busy operational environment. The role offers the chance to contribute across several accounting functions while partnering with the broader team to maintain reliable financial records. THIS IS A FULLY ON-SITE ROLE.

Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including support for period-end close and review of account balances.

Prepare, enter, and validate journal entries to ensure financial records are complete and accurate.

Reconcile bank accounts regularly and investigate variances to resolve outstanding issues promptly.

Maintain fixed asset records, including account reconciliation and ongoing tracking of asset activity.

Record and balance intercompany transactions to support accurate reporting across entities.

Assist with financial reporting by compiling data, reviewing accuracy, and helping maintain strong accounting controls.

Use Microsoft Dynamics 365 to process accounting transactions and monitor financial activity.

Analyze accounting data in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables to prepare schedules and reports.

Contribute to special accounting assignments and help improve existing workflows and processes.

Requirements - 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in an accountant or accounting analyst capacity.

Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.

Solid knowledge of general ledger accounting and core accounting principles.

Hands-on experience with journal entries, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and month-end close activities.

Familiarity with intercompany accounting and the ability to maintain accurate supporting documentation.

Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is preferred.

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, for analysis and reporting.

Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
