Our client, a leading engineering and manufacturing organization , is seeking a CAD Designer/Drafter to join their team. As a CAD Designer/Drafter, you will be part of the Application Engineering Department supporting engineering and project teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and excellent organizational skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: CAD Designer/Drafter

Location: San Antonio, TX

Pay Range: $30-$35/hour

What's the Job?

Develop and modify 2D and 3D designs and documentation utilizing AutoCAD.

Create and revise mechanical drawings based on engineering specifications and written instructions.

Design facility and plant layouts, including equipment placement, aisles, material flow, and operational clearances.

Calculate and validate building and site layouts, including travel paths, parking areas, doors, walls, lighting, and other facility features.

Manage and organize drawing requests while collaborating with engineering teams to ensure project completion.

What's Needed?

Associate degree in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field with two (2) years of drafting/design experience; or four (4) years of related experience in lieu of a degree.

Proficiency with AutoCAD (2D and 3D) and working knowledge of AutoCAD Mechanical.

Experience creating drafting and design layouts for facilities, buildings, or equipment installations.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, PDF software, and ability to learn new internal software systems.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively with various levels of leadership.
