Role summary:
The (USA) Merchant leads category strategy and financial management for a moderately complex category, driving pricing, promotion, and assortment decisions to meet business objectives. This role collaborates cross-functionally to optimize supplier relationships, channel alignment, and customer experience across all touchpoints. The Merchant manages team performance and development while leveraging data insights to inform strategic initiatives. About the team:
The team leads the development and execution of digital product and financial strategies to drive growth and enhance customer experience. This role involves managing the entire product lifecycle on the digital platform, from conception to optimization. They oversee category strategy, financial management, supplier relations, and talent development while fostering a high-performing environment focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence. What you'll do:
Develop and execute category strategies aligned with long-term business objectives.
Manage profit and loss, pricing, promotions, and inventory decisions to meet financial targets.
Lead supplier negotiations and oversee supplier performance and communication.
Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to inform decisions.
Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize channel strategies and customer experience.
Guide assortment planning, modular layouts, and product placement across channels.
Supervise and develop team members, setting performance expectations and providing coaching.
Utilize data analytics to drive insights, improve processes, and support strategic initiatives.
What you'll bring:
Proven expertise in category strategy development and execution for moderately complex categories.
Strong financial management skills, including profit and loss ownership and budgeting.
Experience in supplier management and negotiation to drive price leadership and profitability.
Ability to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to inform decisions.
Proficiency in assortment planning, inventory management, and pricing strategies.
Demonstrated team management capabilities, including coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluation.
Skilled in leveraging data analytics and digital tools to influence strategic initiatives.

The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00 - $216,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
