As a Security Officer Armed Bank Part Time in Riverdale, MD , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $26.39 / Hour

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at a financial services location.

Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency personnel as appropriate.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.

Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support visitor and employee screening procedures in accordance with post orders and financial institution protocols.

Maintain a visible presence while handling sensitive interactions with professionalism, supporting de-escalation efforts and adherence to Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.

An armed guard card or license is required.

A guard card or license is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
