Summary You will serve as a Subject Matter Expert Chief Engineer for the Exodus Data Warehouse of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. Responsibilities You will perform hands-on system and network engineering and administration in a Unix (BSD, Solaris, etc), Linux, and Windows environment with Oracle servers and Cisco networking equipment. You will utilize real time and post-test data product knowledge in the areas of platform data, radar, telemetry, video, audio, Time, Space, Position Information, and modeling and simulation to the design and improvement of the Exodus Data Warehouse. You will design and document system architecture. You will oversee all aspects of hardware/network/software development: planning, requirements, system design, detailed design, implementation, testing, information security, and configuration management. You will work with range infrastructure to establish efficient and effective data delivery mechanisms to the warehouse, for both real-time and post-test products. Related curriculum -- Successful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field, e.g., engineering technology, physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology, may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree in engineering, provided the applicant has had at least 1 year of professional engineering experience acquired under professional engineering supervision and guidance. Ordinarily there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-@type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions. OR Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in physics totaling at least 24 semester hours, plus appropriate experience or additional education. (1550): Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science OR Bachelor's Degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions. Courses designed to provide an introduction to computer science techniques and methodologies, to problems of system design, and to other specialized fields are acceptable.
