Job Type: Contract (3-6 Months with Potential Extension)
Compensation Rate: $65 - $85 per hour / W2 (Depends on Experience)
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced Finance Process & Business Transformation Consultant to support a critical remediation and process improvement initiative within our Talent Solutions Finance organization. This consultant will play a key role in stabilizing month-end close activities, identifying root causes of operational challenges, improving financial processes, and driving sustainable solutions across a complex customer portfolio.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who combines strong accounting expertise, business analysis capabilities, process improvement experience, and project management skills. The ideal candidate is naturally curious, thrives in complex environments, and can work independently while collaborating with stakeholders to drive meaningful change.
What You'll Do
Support month-end close activities and help ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
Analyze and troubleshoot process breakdowns and operational challenges.
Conduct root cause analysis and develop practical, scalable solutions.
Review and improve existing finance and accounting processes.
Lead process documentation, control assessments, and audit-ready procedures.
Partner with finance, operations, and technology stakeholders to gain alignment and implement process improvements.
Drive remediation efforts related to data reconciliation, invoicing, and financial reporting processes.
Evaluate and strengthen controls surrounding financial data flows.
Manage multiple improvement initiatives and provide ongoing project leadership.
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks within current workflows and recommend corrective actions.
Support the transition from manual processes to more efficient and sustainable operating models.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
8+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance operations, business analysis, consulting, or process improvement.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end close processes.
Extensive experience performing complex reconciliations and financial analysis.
Proven experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing process improvements.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Experience creating process documentation, controls, and audit-ready procedures.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Oracle ERP systems.
Experience supporting system implementations, financial transformations, or post-implementation stabilization efforts.
Knowledge of Vendor Management Systems (VMS) and contingent workforce programs.
Consulting experience within finance transformation, shared services, or operational excellence environments.
CPA, CMA, PMP, or similar professional certification is a plus.

Milwaukee, WI preferred, but remote candidates within the United States will be considered.
Must be available to work Central Time Zone hours.
If located outside Milwaukee, consultant will be expected to travel to Milwaukee during onboarding/startup week to meet key stakeholders and support team integration.
Contract Details
Initial engagement: 3-6 months (anticipated closer to 6 months).
Potential for extension based on project needs and performance.
Target start date: Week of July 13.
