Responsibilities
Participate in all phases of the design process, from schematic design through construction documents, for a variety of commercial and related projects.
Develop, manage, and maintain Revit BIM models across all project phases, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to office standards.
Produce coordinated, detailed, and code-compliant construction drawing sets, including plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules.
Create, modify, and manage Revit families to support project-specific design and documentation needs.
Use Revit for space planning, detailing, and documentation, ensuring constructability and alignment with project requirements, timelines, and commercial building codes.
Collaborate closely with internal design teams and external consultants, including MEP and structural engineers, to coordinate and integrate all disciplines into cohesive project documents.
Support design development by preparing diagrams, 3D views, and visualizations using Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite tools as needed.
Assist in the production and refinement of design presentations and documentation for client reviews and internal design critiques.
Contribute to the production of drawing sets for commercial projects such as retail, shell buildings, interiors, restaurants, multifamily housing, senior living, and related work.
Maintain model and documentation standards, helping to improve workflows and quality across project teams.
Work across different studios as project needs require, supporting various project @types and teams to balance workload and broaden experience.
Essential Skills
3-5 years of professional experience as an Architectural Designer or in a closely related architectural role.
Strong Revit experience on commercial architectural projects, with the ability to develop and manage BIM models across all project phases from schematic design through construction documents.
Proven ability to produce coordinated, detailed construction drawing sets for commercial projects.
Experience using Revit for space planning, detailing, and documentation, with a focus on accuracy, constructability, and alignment with project requirements and timelines.
Demonstrated experience working with commercial building codes and incorporating them into design and documentation.
Experience collaborating with internal design teams and external consultants, including MEP and structural engineers, within a BIM workflow.
Proficiency in Revit for creating and modifying families and maintaining model standards.
Experience with production of drawing sets for commercial projects.
Ability to work effectively from schematic design through construction documents while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with SketchUp for 3D modeling and design visualization.
Proficiency with Adobe Suite (such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) to support presentations and graphic communication.
Background in commercial project @types such as retail, shell buildings, interiors, restaurants, multifamily housing, or senior living.
Interest in working within different studios and project @types, including commercial, housing, interiors, and graphics/signage.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a desire to learn and grow within a multidisciplinary design environment.
Motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to expand experience across all phases of design and documentation.
Work Environment
This role is based in a recently renovated, modern office located on a high floor in a prime downtown setting, offering a bright, contemporary workspace with city views. The firm operates as an award-winning, full-service design practice with about 75 employees in the local office, organized into multiple studios that focus on commercial projects (including retail, shell buildings, interiors, and restaurants), housing with an emphasis on multifamily and senior living, a specialized interiors team, and graphics and signage. Architectural staff are not limited to a single studio; while each person has a home base, they have the opportunity to work across different studios depending on project needs and workload, providing exposure to a wide range of project @types and teams. The commercial studio maintains an extensive backlog of projects, offering consistent, engaging work and strong opportunities for professional growth. The environment emphasizes collaboration, coordinated use of Revit and other digital design tools, and close interaction with consultants. Dress expectations align with a professional design office in a downtown commercial setting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $40.87/hr.
