Responsibilities Attend formal meetings and briefings to provide information and discuss in detail all construction and related events. Apply fundamental knowledge and application of multi-engineering disciplines and construction techniques, including those deviating from standard engineering practices. Provide recommendations to the commander on facility-related priorities and prepare justification correspondence to higher Head Quarters. Implement and manage requirements for preventative maintenance programs and service contracts. Performs engineering studies to determine utilization of space, program budgeting , and life cycles of equipment and components. Advises on the practicability of building additions, available infrastructures and utilities. Prepare correspondence for all actions requiring funding approval. Coordinate with program managers regarding the basic contents to be included in designs, and quality assurance surveillance plans. OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: property management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in property management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.
