Job Description
This role offers an opportunity to help launch a new local delivery partner program by recruiting small and medium-sized businesses in targeted communities. You will work primarily in the field, visiting prospective businesses, presenting the program, qualifying leads, and guiding them through the application process. You will collaborate closely with a Field Manager and other local contractors, support community-based recruitment events, and manage your pipeline in Salesforce. The position involves regular travel within a two-hour driving distance and offers commission for each partner successfully converted.
Responsibilities
Visit prospective businesses door to door in targeted towns within up to a two-hour driving distance to promote the delivery partner program.
Present and pitch the new program opportunity to prospective businesses in a clear and compelling way to generate interest and encourage applications.
Qualify prospective businesses based on defined criteria and guide them step by step through the application process.
Lead follow-up activities with prospective partners and manage all lead and pipeline information in Salesforce.
Support the Field Manager in planning, coordinating, and hosting recruitment events in the community, such as lunch-and-learn sessions and town hall meetings.
Partner with the Field Manager to build relationships with local influencers, including chambers of commerce and economic development associations, to drive referrals and awareness.
Import Excel spreadsheets into Salesforce on a weekly basis to ensure accurate and up-to-date records of prospects and partners.
Drive referrals through community organizations and local networks to expand the pool of potential delivery partners.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service when interacting with business owners and community stakeholders.
Travel regularly within the assigned territory, managing your schedule to maximize field time and recruitment results.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in sales and/or customer service.
Proven outside or field sales experience.
CRM experience, with Salesforce strongly preferred.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Demonstrated ability to manage a sales pipeline and track activities in a CRM system.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to solve problems for applicants in the field.
High level of professionalism, enthusiasm for working with others, and a strong sense of urgency.
Tech-savvy, with experience working with multiple systems and technology tools.
Ability to travel up to four hours round-trip on a daily basis.
Residence in or near Davenport, IA or Iowa City, IA to effectively cover the assigned territory.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience in a role that involved sales and/or negotiation with customers is a plus.
Previous field sales experience beyond the minimum requirement is an advantage.
Experience collaborating with community organizations, chambers of commerce, or economic development associations is beneficial.
Comfort presenting to small groups at events such as lunch-and-learn sessions or town hall meetings.
Interest in building community partnerships with small businesses and supporting local economic growth.
Work Environment
This is a predominantly field-based role, with work in the field expected 4-5 days per week. The position requires regular travel within a territory that may extend up to a two-hour driving distance from your home base, with up to four hours of round-trip travel per day. Candidates should live in or near Davenport, IA or Iowa City, IA to effectively serve the assigned area. You will work closely with a Field Manager and other local contractors, using tools such as Salesforce and Excel to manage leads and track activity. The role offers a commission structure tied to partner conversion, with earnings available at multiple stages of the partner lifecycle, along with support for phone expenses and mileage reimbursement. The environment is fast-paced and community-focused, with frequent interaction with small business owners, community organizations, and local influencers, and it emphasizes professionalism, collaboration, and a strong customer service mindset.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
