Job Title: 2nd Shift Warehouse Inventory Specialist
Job Description
The 2nd Shift Warehouse Inventory Specialist maintains accurate inventory records and ensures that materials, ingredients, and finished goods are properly accounted for during overnight operations. This role supports a smooth production flow, helps minimize downtime, and upholds food safety and quality standards in line with company and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Perform nightly cycle counts, reconcile inventory discrepancies, and document variances in the inventory management system.
Monitor the movement of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods between production, warehouse, and staging areas.
Record all inventory transactions accurately in ERP or warehouse management systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
Conduct regular audits of storage locations to ensure compliance with FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and food safety standards.
Communicate inventory shortages, overages, damages, or quality issues promptly to supervisors and production teams.
Ensure materials are labeled, stored, and handled in accordance with food safety requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Collaborate closely with forklift drivers and production operators to maintain efficient product flow throughout the facility.
Assist with end-of-month and quarterly physical inventory counts as required.
Perform heavy lifting, palletizing, and safe handling of products to support daily warehouse operations.
Store goods in designated areas and maintain organized stock levels to support accurate inventory control.
Use RF scanners to pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with a high degree of accuracy.
Conduct regular cycle counts and report any discrepancies or damages in a timely manner.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company policies.
Follow established GMP and SOP warehouse procedures to support consistent quality and safety standards.
Essential Skills
1-2 years of inventory or warehouse experience in a manufacturing or similar environment preferred.
Experience using ERP systems and basic computer skills, including Excel and data entry.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all inventory-related tasks.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on a night shift schedule.
Understanding of food safety principles, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and traceability requirements.
Good communication and problem-solving skills to address inventory and operational issues effectively.
Ability to use RF scanners for picking, packing, and inventory control.
Capability to perform heavy lifting and palletizing safely.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, walk, or bend for extended periods.
Comfort working in refrigerated or ambient temperature environments as needed.
Ability to work safely in a production and warehouse environment with regular noise and activity.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Forklift certification or the ability to obtain one is preferred.
Experience in a GMP and SOP-controlled warehouse environment is beneficial.
Familiarity with food production or ingredient handling environments is an advantage.

Work Environment
The facility produces various blends and spices for multiple clients and operates under strict GMP and SOP warehouse standards. You will work in both refrigerated and ambient temperature environments and experience regular exposure to production noise and active warehouse operations. The role is on the 3rd shift, requiring comfort with overnight work and sustained physical activity such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Safety and cleanliness are priorities, with expectations to maintain an organized workspace and follow OSHA and company safety policies. The dress code requires safety work shoes with reinforced toes and slip-resistant soles, durable work pants such as denim (no leggings, jeggings, tights, yoga pants, or shorts), and shirts that fully cover the shoulders (no tank tops, halter tops, midriff tops, open-back tops, or strap-style tops). Long hair must be tied or banded without clips, barrettes, or pins, and jewelry of any kind, including rings, watches, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and visible piercings, is not permitted to support safety and food quality standards.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
