We are currently hiring both Per-Diem Residence Counselors, to work in our Fulton & Montgomery Agency. As the Residence Counselor, you would be responsible for:

Counseling and Problem Solving:

Act as an effective role model for residents.

Orient new residents to the program.

Foster open communication, and show understanding, support, and respect to all residents.

Teach Independent Living skills including:

Proper nutrition, menu planning, preparation of a grocery list, reading recipes, meal preparation, food storage, and shopping.

Basic housekeeping skills.

Instruct and supervise residents in appropriate personal hygiene skills.

Assist residents in developing money management skills.

Encourage residents to develop appropriate social skills and participate in recreational and leisure time activities.

Ensure all necessary information is documented properly and in a timely fashion

Complete Assessment for Restorative Services.

Complete Monthly Summary updates and all reviews on assigned residents.

Complete documentation for progress notes.

Residence Counselor Minimum Salary: $18.00 per hour

Residence Counselor Maximum Salary: $18.00 per hour

Residence Counselor Schedule: Varies based on the program needs

Night, weekend, and overnight shifts are available

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Valid NYS drivers license

First Aid/CPR certified (preferred)
