Job Description
This 2nd shift General Production Worker role supports key manufacturing operations, including sanding, hydro, and washing processes for aluminum cylinders. You will handle parts throughout the production line, operate and tend machinery, and assist with loading, unloading, and packaging products. The position offers cross-training across multiple departments, providing variety in daily tasks and the opportunity to develop broad manufacturing experience.
Responsibilities
Load and unload products onto and from machines in the sanding, hydro, and washing operations.
Handle aluminum cylinders of various sizes throughout the production process.
Palletize finished products safely and efficiently for storage or shipment.
Apply labels accurately to products and packaging according to specifications.
Tend and monitor machines to ensure proper operation during production.
Follow established manufacturing procedures and work instructions.
Maintain a consistent work pace in a fast-paced production environment.
Take direction from supervisors and trainers and apply feedback to daily tasks.
Learn and perform tasks in multiple departments through cross-training.
Adhere to safety guidelines when working around machinery and industrial equipment.
Lift and move products weighing 30-50 lbs consistently throughout the shift.
Assist with unloading racks, including occasional work outside when required.
Essential Skills
Ability to consistently lift 30-50 lbs throughout a 10-hour shift.
At least 6 months of manufacturing or warehouse experience.
Comfort working in a manufacturing environment and around industrial machinery.
Ability to focus and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness and ability to take direction and learn new processes.
Reliability in working a 2nd shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., with occasional Saturday work of up to 6 hours.
Basic aptitude for general labor, machine operating, and machine tending tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience as a general laborer in a manufacturing setting is beneficial.
Experience with part handling, palletizing, or labeling is an advantage.
Flexibility to work occasional Saturday shifts as production needs require.
Ability to adapt to different departments and tasks through cross-training.
Comfort working in varying temperatures, including warm or hot conditions inside the facility.

Work Environment
This role is based in an industrial, fast-paced manufacturing facility that produces aluminum cylinders ranging from approximately 3 lbs to 60 lbs, with most products in the 3 to 25 lb range. You will work around active machinery and production equipment in sanding, hydro, and washing operations. The schedule is 2nd shift, Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. (10-hour shifts), with occasional Saturday shifts of up to 6 hours as needed. The environment can be warm or hot, especially when outside temperatures are high, and roll-up doors are opened to improve airflow. At times, racks may be unloaded outside, so bringing warm clothing such as a jacket or sweatshirt is recommended for cooler conditions. The facility emphasizes safety, productivity, and teamwork in a busy production setting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
