Job Title: DISC Assembler - 1st Shift
Job Description
This role focuses on high-volume mechanical assembly of plastic disc devices on a cleanroom production line. You will snap components together using your hands and simple tools, operate small machines that foil, laminate, and label the discs, and perform multiple visual inspections to ensure product quality. The work is steady throughout the shift and requires strong attention to detail, comfort with repetitive tasks, and adherence to standard operating procedures in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Assemble plastic disc devices by snapping components together using hands and simple hand tools.
Load assembled discs into small machines that apply foil, laminate the product, and add labels and barcodes.
Perform visual inspection of products at multiple points along the assembly line to ensure quality and compliance.
Conduct visual inspection of in-process materials and finished products, identifying defects or irregularities.
Operate various manufacturing and packaging equipment on the production line in accordance with instructions and SOPs.
Create and apply accurate labels for disc devices, including barcodes and product information.
Follow cleanroom procedures, including aseptic gowning (bunny suit) and adherence to all cleanroom protocols.
Strictly follow and comply with written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), FDA, GDP, and GMP requirements.
Document production activities clearly and accurately, including batch records and other required forms.
Maintain a steady workflow throughout the entire shift while meeting production targets and quality standards.
Collaborate and communicate with coworkers on the line, working within close proximity to others to keep the line running smoothly.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with cleanroom and safety guidelines.
Essential Skills
At least 1-2 years of experience in high-volume production environments such as assembly, machine operation, or packaging.
Demonstrated ability to perform mechanical assembly using hands and simple tools.
Experience operating production or packaging line equipment in a manufacturing setting.
Strong attention to detail and comfort with repetitive, detail-oriented work.
Ability to perform consistent visual inspection of in-process materials and finished products.
Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) precisely and consistently.
Familiarity with working in regulated environments such as FDA, GDP, or GMP-compliant facilities.
Ability to stand for the majority of the shift.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Willingness and ability to gown aseptically and work in a cleanroom environment (training provided).
Basic documentation skills to accurately record activities and production data.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous cleanroom experience is preferred but not required.
Medical device assembly or packaging experience is a strong plus.
Experience working on a packaging line in a medical device or similar regulated industry.
Familiarity with operating instruments used to laminate, seal, and label products.
Comfort working closely with others on an assembly line within a few feet of coworkers.
Strong work ethic and reliability in maintaining steady workflow throughout the shift.

Work Environment
This is a 1st shift position, Monday through Friday, from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in a cleanroom manufacturing environment. You will work on a DISC assembly line with a steady workflow throughout the entire shift, standing for most of the day and performing repetitive, detail-oriented tasks. The role requires full cleanroom attire, including coveralls (bunny suit), booties, gloves, hair net, safety glasses, and face masks, in line with aseptic gowning and cleanroom protocols. You will work within approximately three feet of coworkers on the line and may occasionally interact at closer distances, requiring comfort with close collaboration. The facility operates under FDA, GDP, and GMP standards, with an emphasis on safety, cleanliness, and strict adherence to SOPs and documentation practices.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
