Job Title: Electrical Foreman
Job Description
This role oversees and actively participates in electrical installations on a commercial interiors and assisted living project. The Electrical Foreman leads conduit bending, wiring, and equipment installation while ensuring work meets safety standards, project specifications, and schedule requirements. The position combines hands-on electrical work with field supervision, coordination, and troubleshooting responsibilities on a local project.
Responsibilities
Oversee and perform hands-on electrical installations, including conduit, fixtures, panels, switchgear, transformers, and generators.
Bend and install various @types of conduit, including EMT and rigid, ensuring clean, accurate, and code-compliant runs.
Troubleshoot electrical wiring, circuits, and systems to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
Install and connect switchgear, transformers, and generators according to plans, schematics, and manufacturer specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to plan layout, routing, and installation of conduit and wiring.
Ensure all electrical installations comply with applicable codes, safety standards, and project requirements.
Lead and support a small field team by providing direction, feedback, and guidance on daily tasks and priorities.
Coordinate work sequencing to align with project schedules and other trades on a commercial interiors and assisted living project.
Maintain a safe jobsite by enforcing the consistent use of personal protective equipment and safe work practices.
Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and adherence to design and safety standards.
Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues, clarify plans, and maintain steady progress on the project.
Model perfect attendance, a positive attitude, and strong work ethic, setting the standard for the rest of the crew.
Essential Skills
8-10 years of electrical experience in commercial or similar environments.
Strong proficiency in bending conduit, including EMT and rigid, with consistent accuracy and quality.
Hands-on experience installing conduit, fixtures, panels, switchgear, transformers, and generators.
Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical wiring, circuits, and systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
Knowledge of electrical installation practices and standards for commercial projects.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Demonstrated ability to work safely and consistently use required PPE.
Capability to lead and work within a small team, accepting and giving constructive feedback.
Reliable attendance and a positive, cooperative attitude on the jobsite.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience on commercial interiors or assisted living facility projects.
Familiarity with switchgear, transformers, and generator setups in commercial environments.
Comfort working on local projects with set daily hours.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and other trades.
Ability to adapt to changing field conditions and project needs while maintaining quality and safety.

Work Environment
This role is based on a commercial interiors and assisted living project in Bethpage. The workday runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing a predictable schedule. You work as part of a smaller field crew of approximately 10-15 employees, fostering a close-knit, team-oriented environment. The jobsite requires the use of personal protective equipment at all times, and safety is a core expectation. The work involves typical commercial electrical tasks such as conduit bending, wiring, and installation of switchgear, transformers, and generators in an active construction setting. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $48.00/hr.
