Job Description
The Production Associate supports the manufacturing of PCB/PCBA boards and server assemblies by operating automated equipment, handling components, and completing final assemblies and tests. This role works across surface mount technology (SMT), PTH insertion, and server box assembly areas to ensure products move efficiently through each stage of production while meeting quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Load blank PCB/PCBA boards into SMT machines and monitor SMT production lines to maintain continuous and efficient operation.
Load and unload component reels into SMT machines, including changing individual reels and unloading full carts of reels, ensuring components are correctly threaded and aligned.
Stop and restart SMT machines as needed to safely change reels or carts, following all operating procedures.
Transfer boards from the SMT line to the PTH insertion line, ensuring accurate handling and proper sequencing.
Maintain a steady supply of component reels for the PTH insertion machine, monitoring reel levels and replenishing as needed.
Monitor boards as they pass through the wave solder machine to ensure components are properly soldered and secured.
Check and maintain solder paste levels, refilling as necessary to prevent production interruptions.
Take completed PCB/PCBA boards and mount them into server boxes according to build instructions displayed on a computer screen.
Use hand tools and power tools to securely assemble components into server boxes, following detailed build sheets and assembly standards.
Lift and load completed server boxes, up to 30 pounds, into server test equipment to perform pass/fail testing.
Run server box tests, identify pass or fail results, and place completed units in the appropriate designated pass or fail areas.
Accurately document the movement and status of boxes throughout the testing and final assembly process.
Follow all safety procedures in an ESD-controlled environment, including proper use of smocks and heel straps.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and support overall production flow by communicating issues or downtime promptly to the appropriate personnel.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of prior work history in any environment, demonstrating reliability and consistency.
Ability to lift and handle items weighing up to 30 pounds on a regular basis.
Ability to pass a basic 5th grade math test to support measurements, counts, and simple calculations.
Ability to read, write, and speak English to follow work instructions, build sheets, safety guidelines, and documentation requirements.
Comfort with production, assembly, and machine operation tasks in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work an overnight shift from 11:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, with optional overtime on weekends.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in electronics manufacturing, PCB/PCBA production, or similar assembly environments is beneficial.
Familiarity with SMT or PTH insertion machines and basic machine operation is an advantage.
Experience using hand tools and power tools for assembly work is helpful.
Ability to follow on-screen build sheets and computer-based instructions accurately.
Comfort working in an ESD-controlled facility and following related handling procedures.

Work Environment
This role is based in a modern, extremely clean, and well-lit manufacturing facility, with both buildings built within the last four years and equipped with brand-new production machinery. The environment is fully climate controlled, providing a comfortable temperature throughout the overnight shift from 11:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, with optional overtime available on Saturdays and Sundays. Work is performed in an ESD-controlled facility, and you will wear smocks and heel straps to protect sensitive electronic components. The position involves standing for extended periods, moving between SMT, PTH, and assembly/test areas, and regularly lifting up to 30 pounds while operating production and testing equipment and using hand and power tools.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.80 - $19.80/hr.
