Role summary:
The (USA) Principal, Product Manager leads the development and execution of complex product strategies, driving data-informed decisions and customer-centric solutions. This role involves owning product roadmaps, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and managing the full product lifecycle using modern methodologies. The position requires expertise in analytics, technology trends, and business strategy to identify new opportunities and deliver scalable innovations. The Principal Product Manager influences partners, and ensures alignment with organizational goals while fostering continuous improvement and operational excellence across product initiatives.
About the team:
The Walmart Inventory Planning Capabilities Product Management team leads the creation of advanced planning and forecasting solutions using machine learning and statistical modeling. This team manages the inventory planning ecosystem across omni-channel networks, focusing on forecasting, inventory placement, targets, and item lifecycle management. By optimizing inventory positioning and safety stock, the team enhances operational efficiency. Team members demonstrate strong ownership, data-driven decision making, and collaborate closely with engineering and business partners. They drive product strategy, execution, and continuous improvement to support Walmart's merchandising team.
What you'll do:
Utilize data-driven insights and analytics to inform product decisions and identify new opportunities for value creation.
Present and clearly articulate product strategy to company leadership.
Mentor high performing team members to build inventory products that solves complex problems.
Develop and champion product vision, strategy and roadmap for products in safety stock planning space.
Build and own scalable platforms that are multi-tenant and can be leveraged across geographies and business units.
Leverage data to make more informed product decisions and will influence the prioritization and design of complex solutions.
Navigate conflicting stakeholder priorities by making data-driven decisions using enterprise and end customer value as a guiding principle.
What you'll bring:
Proven expertise in product strategy, roadmap development, and managing complex product lifecycles.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data-driven decision making and SQL programming.
Experience in stakeholder management, influencing cross-functional teams, and building consensus.
Ability to translate customer needs into scalable product solutions using design thinking and journey mapping.
Demonstrated leadership in mentoring teams and driving product vision and go-to-market strategies.
Familiarity with emerging technologies and industry trends to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
Flexibility and adaptiveness in ambiguous environments
Ability to drive teams toward a shared vision with velocity and possess an indomitable bias toward action in the face of ambiguity.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
